Applicants seeking admissin to M.B.A & M.C.A Programmes
are required to appear for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET)
in May 2007 conducted by Anna University, Chennai.
Important Dates to Remember:
Issue of Application Forms from : 07.05.2007
Last Date for Receipt of filled in Application Forms (MBA /
MCA) : within 15 days from the publication of TANCET results
Last Date for Receipt of filled in Application Forms (MTech)
: 10 days from the publication of PG results
Application Cost:
For each course: Rs.350/- (General) and Rs.150/- (SC/ST)
Mode of Payment (DD):
Demand Draft in favour of "The Registrar, Periyar University"
payable at Salem. The name and address of the candidate should
be written in the reverse of the demand draft.
Application Forms:
- In Person: Application form can be obtained
on payment by Demand Draft from the Registrar, Periyar University,
Salem.
- By Post: Application form can also be obtained
by post by sending Demand Draft along with a requisition
letter and a self addressed slip to the Registrar, Periyar
University, Salem - 636 011.
Eligbility:
- M.B.A: Any Graduate with atleast 50% of Marks
- M.C.A: Candidates who have secured 55% of
marks or above in any one of the following or equivalent,
are eligible to apply
(i) Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Mathematics at
+2 lever (or)
(ii) Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Mathematics /
Statistics as one of the subjects.
- M.Tech: M.Sc. Degree in Geology / Applied
Geology / Geoscience / Geophysics / Marine Geology / Earth
Science
Admission:
- M.B.A: Through MAT / TANCET scores, group
discussion and personal interview
- M.C.A: Through TANCET score and academic score
in UG programme
- M.Tech: Through Entrance Test conducted by
Periyar University
The completed application forms should reach "The Registrar,
Periyar University, Salem - 636 011" on or before the
last date as mentioned above. |
