Vysya College
was established in the year 1990 by "Vasavi
Vidya Trust", a charitable trust formed
by the munificent persons of the Vysya Community, to impart
value based education to the student community in and
around Salem District. Our college enjoys the idyllic,
unpolluted, serene atmosphere located in the suburban
village of Masinaickenpatty 7 Kilometers from Salem city
on the National High Way - 68 with easy access of transportation.
It covers an area of 15 acres of greenery, which constitutes
55 class rooms, laboratories for computer science, biological
science, Audio-Video theatre, Play ground, canteen, student
hostel etc.,
The college is dedicated itself to impart value based
education to the student community. At present the college
is in the 18th year of service. The college is a self
financing co-educational institution with impressive growth
of student strength from 75 in September, 1990 to 2300
in July 2003 in 13 years. The college offers Nine Under
graduate and Seven Post graduate programmes. They are
interdisciplinary and need based job oriented courses.
Currently the college is affiliated to Periyar University
preceded by University of Madras before 2000.
Mission: Vysya College stands to provide
value / discipline based, qualitative, minimum cost education
to the rural and economically poor students irrespective
of their caste, creed and religious affiliations.

campus + gents hostel + ladies hostel for making use
of the systems in their places
For improving the language skills, a seperate language
lab facility is provided
113 Students secured University Rank in
the last Three Years among them 11 students bagged gold
medals
11 buses are plying exclusively for girls and three more
for both boys and girls
