Anna varsity counselling begins
Chennai: The counselling and seat allotment process for engineering
colleges under the Anna University system began at the Guindy
campus on Thursday, with 337 candidates being called for counselling
under the sports quota.
“Verification of certificates was carried out over the
last two days and today, we started counselling. 100 seats were
allotted today, with 12 students for the University department
institutions and 88 for government aided and self-financing
colleges,” said vice chancellor P. Mannar Jawahar.
The seat status will be updated daily between 7 and 9 pm, he
added. On Friday, counselling will begin for candidates from
the vocational stream followed by counselling for the quota
for other states and the physically challenged. General counselling
begins on July 11.
