Improve quality of education: VC
Coimbatore: “At the global level, the goals are expanding
underscoring the need for more agri-business managers, qualified
agro-processors and environmental engineers which calls for
greater adaptation by the agricultural universities for meeting
the demands.
This warrants an overall improvement in the quality of agricultural
education, which is possible by adopting Good Educational Practices
(GEP),” C. Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU, said here
recently.
Inaugurating a two-day annual meet on education, he discussed
the important issues in education and strategies for overall
improvement of the quality of education with some 200 TNAU scientists.
K. Vanangamudi, Dean (Agriculture), TNAU, spoke on the project
sanctioned by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research to
develop e-course material for B. Sc. Agriculture degree programme
to be hosted on a national server.
