Bank employs TNAU graduates
Coimbatore: At the campus recruitment held recently at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, 30 farm graduates have been selected by Indian Bank to work as rural marketing officers.
They will be appointed on a contractual basis with an emolument of Rs. 3 lakh a year.
According to a release from M. Thangaraj, Director of Students’ Welfare, agriculture and horticulture graduates from Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchi, Killikulam and Periyakulam campuses of the university attended the recruitment drive.
Other nationalised banks like Canara Bank, Union Bank of India and Punjab National Bank have already initiated the process of selecting farm graduates for their agricultural operations, the release added.
