Coimbatore: The Air Force Administrative College (AFAC) and the Department of Psychology of the Bharathiar University have renewed the Memorandum of Understanding for two years till 2011.

According to a university release, the MoU involves training faculty members of AFAC and counselling personnel of AFAC and their and family members. For professional counselling services, the university has appointed a psychologist to deal with the following areas: depression, somatoform disorders, adjustment disorders, behavioural therapy, family counselling, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc.

The psychologist will provide counselling to personnel at AFAC on a fortnightly basis. They will be referred by the Commanding Officer of 6 Air Force Hospital.
