Tuticorin Medical College comes second


Tirunelveli: Students of Madurai Medical College, who bagged 3,275 points in ‘Infiniti 2009’ Inter Medical College cultural festival which concluded at Tirunelveli Medical College on Sunday, won the overall championship. With sloganeering reverberating in the spacious but packed auditorium, they received the championship trophy from Vice-Chancellor of MGR Medical University Meer Mustafa Hussain in a fitting valedictory function.

Tuticorin Medical College with its 2,750 points came second while Theni Medical College stood third with 1,500 points. While Karunakaran of Tuticorin Medical College was adjudged ‘Mr. Infiniti 2009’, Malathi, also from the same college, was declared ‘Ms. Infiniti 2009’. A grand dinner was hosted by Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Tirunelveli city district secretary K.M.A. Nizam at the venue to felicitate the organisers of the 3-day event and other students.
