The Maamallan Educational Trust is a registered charitable
trust having its registered office at #23, Railway Colony II street,
Nelson Manickam Road, chennai- 600029. Now the trust is managed by Jeppiaar
Educational Trust headed by Thiru. Jeppiaar M.A.,B.L.,
Chairman of Maamallan Institute of Technology. He is also the President
of the association of Tamil Nadu State self-financing Engineering colleges.He
is presently well known among academicians as a dedicated educationalist
and philanthropist. He is a simple man by nature,but is endowed with
the great mind for all deserving organizations,which seek his help.

Since Education is the life of a nation, the Maamallan Educational Trust
took up the noble task of educating the rural mass.
Maamallan Institute of Technology aims at the training of young men and
women of quality to be leaders in all walks of life and to serve their
fellowmen in justice, truth and love. The college aims at training
students with an emphasis on discipline and high morale so that in
the near future they become good citizens of the country. The motto
of the college is Mind, Invention, and Triumph. The college was set
up with the vision of producing "Technologists of global standards
with high standard of ethics and values to meet the demands of industries,
which employ state of art and modern technologies through which India
can join the club of developed countries".

The college building is housed in aesthetically designed RCC superstructures in
three different blocks namely the Main Block, Electrical Block and
the Mechanical Block totaling nearly about 1,20,000 sq.ft. with all
ultra modern facilities.
CLASS ROOMS & SEMINAR HALL: Well-furnished spacious class rooms
with required audio visual aids are available. A fully furnished Seminar
Hall is available with all facilities to conduct seminars and Guest
Lectures.
LABORATORIES: The College is well equipped with state of art laboratories confirming
to the specifications and guidelines laid down by concerned authorities.
The college has excellent Physics, Chemistry, Electronic Devices and
Circuits, Intgegrated Circuits, Microprocessor, Communication, Medical
Electronics, Microwave, Fluid Mechanics and Machinery, Manufacturing
Technology, Strength of Materials, Dynamics, Heat Power, Thermal Engineering,
Metrology, CAD, CAM, Workshops, Multimedia, Computer Programming,
Internet Programming and Software Components Labs.
LIBRARY AND BOOK BANK: The Library has more than 6000 volumes of books
and 60 journals. It has open access system. Its functions are computerized.
It also has a vast collection of CD's. A book bank section caters
to the students belonging to the weaker sections of the society. Plans
are on to house the library in a more spacious Library Block.
COMPUTERS, NETWORKING AND INTERNET FACILITIES: Nearly 200 state of art computers
are installed in the fully furnished computer laboratory. All the
software packages are available for use. The high-speed satellite
connectivity, Internet facility with unlimited access is available.
The students and the staff are encouraged to use the facilities available.

Our college placement cell has join venture with Sathyabama Deemed University
in all its activities.The management is happy to announce that every
year all leading companies from IT and Manufacturing sector are regularly
visiting the University for campus selection. It is really an amazing
thing for a student to have his/her "Appoinment order" even
before they finish their degree,it is happening here in Sathyabama Deemed
University. One of our staff member is deputed for the placement cell,who
continuously monitors the employment potentials and organizes the campus
interview for our students even before they finish their seventh semester.
All leading companies are invited to participate in our campus selection
programme. We are giving all required facilities to the companies to
conduct the campus selection in smooth and successful way. we do entertain
the companies asking for the students those who have completed the degree
and looking for job.
