Objective of the Trust: To impart technical Education of high quality to
the aspiring youth of India. To inculcate a sense of discipline and
high moral, ethical and professional standards among the youth.
Towards fulfilling the above objectives, the Dharma Naidu Educational and
Charitable Trust established the S.A. Engineering College in
the year 1998-99 in accordance with the general policy of the Govt.
of Tamil Nadu to give high priority to Technical Education. Impressed
by the excellent record of performance of the institute academically
and in matters of financial discipline and environment inside the
campus.
In recognition of the quality system of high caliber being implemented for the administration
of the institution and achievement of its goals, M/s. RWTUV, Germany
have accorded ISO 9001 : 2000 Certification.

The campus is spread over a vast
area of about 42 acres and has 2.00 lakhs sq. ft. of constructed area
which includes class rooms, drawing halls, laboratories, workshops and
associated facilities.
Department of Basic Sciences: The college is provided with following
well equipped laboratories to cater to the instructional needs of the
practical courses in the first year. Workshops, Physics Lab, Chemistry
Lab, Computer Lab.
Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering: The department
has the following well-equipped laboratories accommodated over an
area of 1000 sq.m. Microwave Lab, Integrated Circuits Lab, Optical
Communication Lab, Electronics System Design Lab, Bio-medical Instrumentation
Lab, Microprocessor and Interfacing Lab, Telecommunication Engineering
Lab, Assembly Language Programming Lab, Microprocessor and Microcontroller
Lab, Electron Devices and Measurements Lab, Digital Signal Processing
Lab and MAT Lab.
Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering: The department has
the following laboratories: Electrical Workshop, Control Systems Lab,
Power Electronics Lab, Electric Machines Lab, Electrical Machines
Lab, Control Engineering Lab, Measurements and Instrumentation Lab.
Department of Mechanical Engineering: The department has the following well-equipped
laboratories and workshops accommodated over an area of 700 sq.m.
Lathe Shop, CAD Lab, CAM Lab, Metrology Lab, Metallurgy Lab, Special
Machines Shop, I.C. Engines Lab, Heat Transfer Lab, Material Testing
Lab, Thermal Engineering Lab, Smithy, Foundry and Welding Shop, Instrumentation
& Dynamics Lab and Fluid Mechanics & Machinery Lab.
Department of Information Technology & Computer Science Engineering:
The department has the following well-equipped laboratories accommodated
over an area of 800 sq.m. System Software, DBMS Lab, Internet Lab,
Graphics Lab, Peripherals Lab, Multimedia Lab, Networking Lab, Operating
System Lab, System Programming Lab, Computer Lab with 450 System.
Post Graduate Department (M.C.A & M.Sc. Department): The PG Department
is provided with separate block with a floor area of 3,000 sq.m. The
laboratory facilities in the department include the following: Microprocessor
Lab and Computer Lab with 90 terminals.

A placement and training cell is functioning to interact with reputed
organizations all over the country for arranging campus interviews for
the placement of the final year students.
In recognition of the high quality of the Project Works done by the
students of this college, the Tamilnadu State Council for Science and
Technology, Chennai has sanctioned grant of Rs.5,000/- to the college
as financial support to one of the project works done by students of
the college.
