Sri Sai Ram Engineering
College, Chennai, established in the year 1995
by MJF.Ln.Leo Muthu, Chairman of Sapthagiri
Educational Trust, is non-profitable, and non-minority
institution. The College is functioning at Sai Leo Nagar
in a sprawling campus of 300 acres near the well-known
fascinating Theme Park, "Kishkinta".
The college buildings are architecturally designed with
25,000 sq. meters plinth area as per AICTE norms. Imbibed
with the message of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, our Chairman
ventured into the realm of providing quality technical
education to both urban and rural students from Tamil
Nadu as well as other states. Our chairman is visionary
and he has to his credit, various other enterprises such
as Real Estate, Industry and various Educational Institutions.
Now, Sri Sai Ram Engineering College has developed into
a reputed Engineering Institution with ISO 9001 : 2000
Certification, and this year, all our Engineering programs
got accredited by National Board of Accredition. Offering
top quality technical education and moulding the younger
generation with the spirit of service to society, our
Chairman has spared no efforts to induct dedicated faculty
and provide adequate infrastructure facilities. The college
is affiliated to Anna University and also approved by
All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

"The infrastructure and facility available
on campus are amongst the very best". The SEC campus
spreads over 300 acres in a beautiful and serene atmosphere
ideally suited for technical education. The infrastructure
and facilities available on campus are amongst the very
best. It is a wholly self-contained campus comprising
of everything that students on campus would ever require.

Library: A library is the heart of an
academic institution. Our institution encourages all students
and staff members to make best use of the library that
has been carefully built up since the inception of the
college. The library is housed in a spacious area of 625
sq.m., fully computerized and air-conditioned with Reference
Section, Magazine Section and Stack Area. Presently there
are more than 25416 books and reference volumes stacked
for the benefit of staff and students. There is an established
media resource centre. Our library follows the open access
system and is encouraging students to browse in the stack
area. The library subscribes more than 180 specialized
journals, over one third of them being international.
We are also a member of US information service (USIS),
British Council Library, CSIR, Delnet, Malibnet, IIT,
CII, Madras Productivity Council and Anna University.
Constant addition of titles and volumes in all the fields
of Engineering, Management, Basic Science and Humanities
is the regular feature of our library. Every effort has
been made to obtain all titles recommended by the faculty.

Training and Placement Cell is an integral
part of our institution. The institute has provided the
complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the
cell. The cell is sensitized to function all through the
year towards generating placement and training opportunities
for the students. Training activities are organized throughout
the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective
students for the campus selection programmes.
Reputed industrial houses across the country visit our
institute regularly for the campus recruitment programmes.
Our pioneering efforts have brone fruits in achieving
academic-industrial rapport and we are proud that our
students are absorbed by leading giants in the industrial
firmament. The placement cell coordinates quite well with
the corporate sector and provides well-developed infrastructure
to facilitate the campus selection programmes.
The cell is designed to function with a high degree of
professionalism. It provides almost instantaneous data
to the corporate sector with regard to the candidates
available for consideration towards placement in accordance
with the preserved requirements. Indeed, we have been
appreciated more often by the industrial houses for this
special feature embedded in our work philosophy.
