Sri Sai Ram Medical
College for Siddha, Ayurveda & Homoeopathy,
Chennai was established in the year of 2001 by MJF.
Ln. Leo Muthu , Chairman of Sapthagiri
Educational Trust which is a non-profitable and
non minority institution. The College is functioning at
its permanent building at Sai Leo Nagar. A Sprawling campus
of 200 acres near to the well known tourist attraction
"Kishkinta". The college buildings are architecturally
designed and built as per the CCIM and CCH norm.
Sri Sai Ram Medical College is developing into a reputed
Medical Institution, imparting top QUALITY MEDICAL EDUCATION
and preparing the young generation of student with SPIRIT
OF SERVICE TO SOCIETY. The colleges are affiliated to
the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai and
approved by the CCIM / CCH / Ayush for Indian System of
Medicine, New Delhi.

Siddha system of medicine (Tamil Medicine) originated from Tamil Nadu,
South India, has been forumulated for the benefit of Human community
by Siddhars, whose period of existance cannot be accurately ascertained,
since it is a DIVINE MEDICINE by its inheritance from Lord Siva and
from who to other Siddhars. The word Siddha derived from the word
"SIDDHI" which means an object to be attained or perfection
or heavenly bliss Siddhars are divine personalities of complete perfection
in all respects and masters of "ATTAMA SIDDHIS". Siddha
system of medicine is any unique medical system of Tamilnadu. Unlike
other systems of medicine, it treats both body and mind and therby
cure the root cause of the disease ie., complete cure is obtainable.
In spite of revolutionary advances made in modern medicine, there
has been a correspondence increase in attention of siddha medicine
is largely on account of efficency, affordable cost, easy availability
and non-toxicity. It is indeed a matter of great satisfaction that
Siddha by virtue of their inherent strength principles of holistic
health ease, are emerges an unique medical system for global acceptance.
The life expectancy has definitely gone up and with that the number
of age related diseases have come up. A number of diseases are associated
with the life style. In this context, solution for this calamity can
be obtained only by Siddha system of medicine.

Our group of Institutions has a total campus area
of 150.00 acres. In that 25.00 acres have been allotted
to the Medical Colleges with necessary infrastructural
facilities like well ventilated Class Rooms, Laboratories
and Spacious Herbal Garden with adequate water facility
and more than 400 Herbal Plants.
Central Library: A Library is the lifeblood
of an academic institution. Our institution encourages
all staff members to make best use of the library that
has been carefully built up since the inception of the
college. The library is housed in a spacious area of 4000
sq ft. with reference section, magazine section and stack
area. Presently it stacks more than 12000 books and reference
volumes for lending to faculty and students. The library
subscribes to more than 60 specialized journals, over
one third of them being international. Constant addition
of titles and volumes in all fields of medicine a regular
feature of the library. Every effort has been made to
obtain all titles recommended by the faculty.
We have separate Hostel facility for both boys and girls. It is a dividing
system and we are providing hygienic food and good accommodation to
the students.
