The Vinayaka Mission's Sankarachariyar
Dental College, is an associate college of Vinayaka Mission's Research
Foundation Deemed University, Salem and pioneer institution of the trust,
which plays a vital role in the field of Dental Science. So far several
thousands students have passed out from this college successfully and
they are practicing Dentistry in India and also abroad.
It shall be our great endeavour to develop this college as a "CENTRE
FOR LEARNING'. The basic aim is to develop a Dentist which is not only
a specialist in the field, but also a useful member in the society with
compassion, confidence and competence to serve patients effectively
and safely. In order to do so, we have established a full fledged 500
bedded hospital.The college is provided with best laboratory facilities
like latest machineries, instruments etc., so as to acquire latest knowledge
to equip themselves in any of the best Dental Industries on par with
international standards.
The College was Approved and recognised by the Government Dental Council of India (DCI), New Delhi. This is a constituent
College of the Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation Deemed University(VMRF-DU), Salem.

and Reference books, large number of Indian and Foreign journals related
to each and every branch of dental medicine are available for regular
reading and reference to the students and staffs along with News Papers,
and Magazines. Video cassettes and CD players on different areas of
medicine add to the teaching aids. Computer with internet facility links
the institution with the inter national web sites thus providing access
to the latest informations as and when generated through out the world.
The Teaching Methods are so efficient as 100% results and distinctions
are common occurrences.
The Library has areas allotted for the students and staff members separately and sections for periodicals, Audio-Visual
projection ,photocopiers and browsing centre for visiting web sites for obtaining online - information.

to mention that many of the students who have passed out from this
college have been offered appointments in Arabia, London and USA.

HOW TO REACH US:
The Vinayaka Mission Sankarachiyar Dental College is situated at NH-47,
Sankari Main Road, Ariyanoor, which is 15 km from Salem city, on the
highway connecting Salem to Coimbatore. Salem is well connected by rail,
road and air to major cities of India. It takes 3 hrs to reach salem
from coimbatore and 4hrs from bangalore by road. A train journey from
coimbatore and bangalore also takes the same time. It also takes 5 hrs
to reach salem from chennai by train. This has become possible by the
super fast trains well connected between the two cities. Salem is connected
by air to coimbatore, Bangalore, Chennai, Tiruchi, Madurai and Mumbai.
