Since education plays a vital
role in the lives of the human beings, our illustrious
and noble-hearted philanthropist Chairman Shri K.V.
Kuppusamy successfully established this R.V.S.Educational
Trust in December 1983, to impart quality education
to our youths. In 1984, the Chairman of the trust Thiru
K.V. Kuppusamy founded the R.V.S. Polytechnic,
one of the early self financing polytechnics in Tamil
Nadu, vide G.O.MS.No.174 Education dated 18.02.1984. The
Institution is recognized by AICTE and offers a variety
of Diploma courses.
The R.V.S. Polytechnic is located on the Dindigul-Karur
Road at a distance of 8 KM from Dindigul and is accessible
from there. With the ever-increasing demand for technical
education our polytechnic is brought to forefront by the
efforts and encouragement of our esteemed Chairman Shri
K.V. Kuppusamy and trustee Mrs. Padmavathi Kuppusamy.

The Polytechnic has well equipped laboratories
and workshops, good library facilities and adequate games
and sports facilities. The God Father Scheme under which
each student has a teacher as tutor to offer guidance
and counseling helps students to solve their problems
in the achievement of their goals. In order to introduce
them to the IT world, students from rural background s
are inducted into the Computer Users Association. This
Association, apart from giving coaching classes, also
organizes seminars. To inculcate higher standards of excellence,
the different associations under the branches, organize
industrial visits, educational tours and lectures by technical
experts. Under the faculty improvement Programme, the
Polytechnic sponsors the staff for higher education like
B.E & M.E. The Polytechnic also extends a helping
hand in the yearly TECHNO FAIR organized by the Engineering
College.
