December 07, 2008 - Admission to Diploma in Nursing for 2008 - 2009

Directorate of Medical Education, Government Of Tamilnadu invites Applications for admission to Diploma in Nursing Course for 2008 - 2009 Session from the eligible Women candidates.

Application Cost: Rs.200/-

Mode of Payment (DD / Cash):
Crossed Demand Draft for Rs.200/- (Rs. Two Hundred only) drawn in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai in the following Nursing Training Centres.The Demand Draft should have been issued by any of the Nationalised Banks only and dated not earlier than 10.12.2008 and should be payable at Chennai.
Application Forms:

• In Person: Application forms can be obtained with a written requisition to the Dean of Government Medical Colleges duly enclosing a crossed Demand Draft.
  
  
• By Post: Applications can also be obtained by addressing the Dean of Government Medical Colleges, duly enclosing the postal stamp to the value of Rs.60/- (Rupees Sixty only) for ordinary post along with the required Demand Draft (Rs.200/- ). The SC/ST candidates need not enclose Demand draft.
  
  
• Through Website: Application forms can be downloaded from www.tnhealth.org and send the application along with the crossed Demand Draft. (Rs.200/-). SC/ST candidates need not enclose Demand Draft.
  
  
• The women Candidates who desire to get the application through Post, can obtain the applications at any of the Training Centres mentioned in Para (3) by sending the postal stamps to the value of Rs.60/- (Rs. Sixty only) with self-addressed envelope along with the Demand Draft for Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) being the cost of application, drawn in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai - 10. SC/ST candidates need not send the Demand Draft, but they have to send attested copy of community certificate.

Eligibility:

• Candidates should have completed 17 years of age and should not have completed 30 years as on 31.12.2008. SC/ST candidates can apply upto the age of 35 years.
  
  
• OC, BC, BCM,and MBC Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary conducted by the Tamilnadu Higher Secondary State Board/any other equivalent Board with aggregate marks of 40% in any subjects (excluding Tamil and English) are eligible to apply. 5% relaxation is permitted to SC/ST candidates.
  
  
• Candidates should have studied Tamil as the First Language and English as the Second Language.
  

The completed application forms should reach "The Secretary, Selection Committee, No.162, Periyar E.V.R High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai - 600 010" on or before 20.12.2008, by 05:00 PM.
