March 15, 2009 - Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, Chennai, Admission For M.Tech 2009 - 2010

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras invites applications for admission to M.Tech programmes in the departments of Aerospace, Applied Mechanics, Biotechnology, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical, Mathematics (Industrial Mathematics and Scientific Computing), Mechanical Engg., Metallurgical and Materials Engg., Ocean Engg. and Physics (Solid State Technology). In addition, M.Tech in Clinical Engineering is also offered.

New M.Tech. programmes in Catalysis Technology, Nuclear Engineering and Petroleum Engineering will be offered from the academic year 2009 - 10.

Application Cost: Rs. 300/- (Rs. 100/- in the case of SC/ST/PD)
Mode of Payment :
Application can be submitted only Online. The application fee is Rs.300/- for General / OBC candidates and Rs.100/- for SC / ST / PD candidates. ( DD to be drawn in favour of "IIT Madras" payable at Chennai, IIT Madras, Chennai - 600 036.)

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture from educational Institutions approved by AICTE/Government or Master's degree in Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / Life Science / related subjects from educational Institutions approved by UGC/Government
  
• Valid GATE score Candidates graduating / graduated with B.Tech. degree for IIT's with CGPA of 8.0 and above in the case of General / OBC Category and 7.5 and above in the case of SC / ST Category can apply without GATE score.
