Madras University Chennai Admission under CHOICE BASED CREDIT SYSTEM (CBCS) 2009 - 2010
Applications are invited for admission to the following M.Phil., Master's, P.G. Diploma, Diploma and Certificate Programmes under CHOICE BASED CREDIT SYSTEM (CBCS) in the University Departments of Study and Research for the year 2009 - 2010.

Important Dates to Remember:
Issue of Application Forms from: 15.04.2009
Last date for submission of filled-In application form for
(I) PG/M.Phil Courses /Self -supportive courses: 25.05.2009
(II) M.D and Diploma Courses (Taramani Campus): 30.04.2009
(III) PG Diploma, Diploma & Certificate courses: 31.07.2009
(IV) M.B.A & M.C.A: within 7 days from the date of Publication of the results of TANCET
Application Cost:
In Person: Rs.200/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates)
By Post: Rs.250/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST candidates)
Mode of Payment (DD):
Demand Draft in favour of "The Director, University of Madras" payable at Chennai. The name
and address of the candidate should be written in the reverse
of the demand draft.
Application Forms:
- In Person: Application form can be obtained
on payment in cash at the Institute (IDE) / Study Centers
/ Spot Admission centers.
- By Post: From "The Director, University of Madras" by sending
a letter along with DD and an address label written in capital
letters to which the application is to be mailed.
- Through Website: The application form can
also be Downloaded from this www.unom.edu.in
after filling the required details and the same may be sent
to the below address along with the DD.
Those who are appearing for University final year examinations in April/May 2009 may also apply for all the programmes. The Entrance Examination will be held from 1st June 2009 onwards. The Heads of the Departments concerned will issue Hall-tickets indicating the place, date and time for Entrance Examination. Such of those candidates who have not received Hall-tickets in time due to Postal delay etc. have to contact the Head of the department concerned for getting necessary permission to take Entrance Examination.

Separate application for each programme along with required attested Xerox copies of certificates shall be submitted directly to the Head of the University Department concerned. The University reserves the right to suspend the conduct of any course if the circumstances so warrant. The University will not be held responsible for any Postal delay.
